Screening Assessment
The purpose of a screening assessment is for families who are unsure if a full neurodevelopmental assessment is needed. This assessment will not provide a diagnosis, but will determine if a detailed neurodevelopmental assessment is required.
The cost of the screening assessment will be deducted from the full neurodevelopmental assessment if the parent/carer wish to go ahead with an ASD/ADHD assessment if recommended.
Steps For The Assessment
1) Information gathering - Before the appointment a questionnaire will be sent to nursery or school and parents/carers.
2) In person appointment (Parent/Carer and Child) - Information gathering and clinical assessment. At this appointment feedback will be provided as to whether a full assessment should be considered
The assessment process may indicate other needs which will be discussed and if required further assessment, referral or signposting to other services may be considered
A detailed report will be provided to parents/carers and will be copied, with consent to professionals such as your GP and SENCO at school. The report will be sent by recorded delivery and a copy will be sent to parents/carers by secure email if required
